Renault Motor Arisa,  IX Gran Canaria Summer League Champs.

The Red Team beat Café Ortega in the Championship Game in a vibrant contest by 77-66.

The IX Gran Canaria Summer League concluded with the proclamation of the Renault Motor Arisa team as Champion after defeating the great favorite in the final, Café Ortega. Although there were 40 minutes of excitement and basketball quality in the Gran Canaria Arena, the result fell on the part of the Renault team guys (66-77), after the tribute offered to Greg Stewart at halftime.

The final started with the favorite, Café Ortega, dominating the game thanks to the direction of Caleb Davis (13 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists) and the success in the outside shot of Alberto Artiles. But the emergence of Arturo Fernández  and his scoring, he finished the match with 30 points and 28 credits of valuation, returned the game to the Renault Motor Arisa team. Mike Harry (16 points, 6 rebounds and 2 blocks), led the green reaction after the break, but Óscar Alvarado imposed his experience to guide his team to the eventual victory (66-77).

The third place of the Tournament went to the side of CB Gran Canaria. The yellow team won with solvency at La Matanza CBA Academy for 65-83. Lázaro González, with 17 points of evaluation, was in charge of executing his rivals to leave the representative of the Island on the podium.

Special mention to the act that took place during the halftime of the final and in which some gifts and a commemorative t-shirt were given to the family of Greg Stewart, a person with great significance in the society and basketball of Gran Canaria.
